Maya provides therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a special interest in women's mental health, fertility, prenatal/postpartum well-being, transgender/non-binary support, adolescent mental health and couples counselling.
Maya has been in private practice since 2010 and also has experience working in a School Board, Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health Clinic and University Counselling Centre.
Maya is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed a master's degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto. Prior to that, Maya was a Kriplalu Yoga instructor, she completed training in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, participated in several Vipassana meditation courses and studied Ayurveda for a year in New Mexico. Maya lives in Guelph with her family.
Maya's clinical practice integrates evidence based psychology with meditation/mindfulness, yoga and Buddhist psychology. Recently, Maya started studying Integrative Psychiatry and Functional Medicine with Dr. James Greenblatt.
